Description
The Nimbus 4 system combines automatic adjustment of cell pressures, Heel guard and Wound Valve Technology providing effective pressure redistribution and enhanced solutions to a wide range of patient management issues. The Nimbus 4 system provides clinical and cost effective outcomes. The quiet and vibration-free pump interacts with an encapsulated Auto-Matt sensor pad within the mattress to enable automatic pressure adjustment in response to individual body mass distribution and patient movement.
CPR twist knob “red scissor like handle” to allow air to escape the mattress for resuscitation purposes. During a power cut the knob on the side of the mattress can be turned from “Normal” to “Transport” Mode to aid keeping the mattress air stable. The white and blue knobs on the side of the mattress determine pressure to the cells either more quickly or slowly. Unless specified by a care professional these should be left to function appropriately.
Air pump must be plugged in at all times and on the “Normal” position to allow the cells in the mattress to work properly. The pump can be hung out of the way on the foot board using the two metal levers.
Please ensure the mattress is placed in the correct positioning with the “feet logo” at the base of the bed.
AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARMS
The pump includes audible and visual alarms, activating only when genuine intervention is needed for Power Fail, High or Low Pressure and Pump Fault conditions.
