Please Note:- This Rascal Powerchair is not suitable for off roading, it requires a flat surface and can only handle a mild incline to function.
This attendant operated Rascal WeGo 250 Power chair is designed not only for the user but for the attendant/carer, allowing the attendant/carer to remain in an upright walking position due to the adjustable height of the stem. The delta tiller is ambidextrous and can be used in both a forward and reverse momentum by either thumb. Once the tiller is released the Rascal power chair will come to a complete stop. Safety speed knob on the control panel can be turned to a slower or a slightly faster pace by the attendant/carer. Red button on the control panel sounds a low horn.
Rear left brake which can be applied by the attendant/carer when in the parked position and transfers. Lever to the right of the large battery compartment allows the power chair to be freewheeled for manoeuvrability.
PLEASE NOTE:- Care must be taken whilst in freewheeled mode, it must not be used on any slopes or uneven surfaces as the power chair will not have a breaking system and can run away and cause potential harm to the user, attendant and bystanders. (KEY MUST be removed before engaging freewheeling, then once the lever is put back into drive the key may be reinserted)
Seat is padded and swivels via a lever underneath the chair to aid transfers. Lap belt for added safety. Armrests which can raise for transfers. Sturdy footplate which has a handy hole to assist the pick up of the power chair for transport. Handy storage under the seat and a small zipped bag behind the seat.
PLEASE NOTE:- The power chair MUST have the key removed before any transfers take place and the brake applied.
This Power chair’s intended use is for Adults with a disability and the user weight not to exceed 18 stone. Please read the specifications.
Please Note:- The battery must remain on charge when the chair is not in use and charged out of the elements to avoid electrocution and damage to the electric wheelchair.
The power chair can also be dismantled for transportation and will fit snugly within the boot of most cars.
